So begins one of Jesus’ parables. So many seeds sown! Some fell on the hardened path, some on rocky ground, some among thorns, some on fertile soil… Whether the seeds took root and grew into a usable plant depended on where the seeds landed. But Jesus didn’t tell the sower to stop sowing the seeds because some failed to produce. I must sow seeds of kindness and truth. Some might not bear much return, but I can’t let discouragement hold me back if I don’t see resulting fruit. The result really isn’t up to me. My job is to sow; His job is to grow.
