“Lacking nothing…” The world looks at that two-word phrase differently than the writer did. We aren’t talking about not lacking any tangibles; this is speaking of an intangible: faith. Until our faith has been tested, we can’t know for sure whether we truly believe. Some people, when facing testing, choose to turn away from God. The relationship does not endure. But those who turn to God and trust Him to provide the strength, peace, and comfort needed to weather the stormy gale experience a strengthening of their faith. The greater our faith, the more maturity we gain; the more maturity we gain, the more complete we become. I have learned through life’s ups and downs…Jesus truly is my Everything. With Him, I am whole.
