There’s a contemporary song we sing now and then that has this phrase in the chorus, speaking of God: “Even when I can’t see it, You’re working; You never stop working.” So very true. And that’s the thing about prayer—just because we can’t SEE something happening doesn’t mean that nothing IS happening. It’s like the tree that falls in the forest when no one’s around; the tree still fell even if no one saw it tumble. My mom was a faithful prayer warrior. She prayed every day, sometimes for hours, and some of her prayers were on repeat (especially for family members who hadn’t yet committed to Christ). This is what she told me: Never stop hoping! Never stop trusting! Never stop praying! God is always working His perfect will. We participate in His work by praying His will to completion. So never stop! Prayer is powerful.
