“…who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.” When we come to Jesus in repentance and ask Him to take away our sins, a change takes place in the center of our beings. The Holy Spirit enters us and helps us walk in a God-honoring way. There is no temptation known to man that the Spirit will not help us overcome. His strength empowers us when we are weak; His wisdom advises us when we are uncertain; His love flows through us when ours is gone. Christians are, by definition, to be about Christ’s business, and thanks to the Spirit’s guidance, we can walk differently than those who are guided by the flesh and its sinful desires. More than ever in my lifetime, people need to see Christians about the business of Christ. Lord, let others see Jesus in me.
