When I read this verse, I can’t resist shaking my head. I see so many examples in the media of NOT following the instruction here! Can you imagine what a different world we would have if all people everywhere did what this says? We live in a fallen world. We see degradation and disrespectfulness and selfishness every day. We might be stuck in a mess, but we don’t have to contribute to it. We can set a better example. To put it simply, in a world of cavers-in, be a stander-firm! When we listen, resist arguing, and rein in our tempers, we show others that control is possible. Best part? We reflect the righteousness our Father desires of us. We can’t go wrong when we seek to honor Him.
