As devastated as the disciples were when Jesus went to that cross, think how devastating it would be for us if He hadn’t. Until Jesus came, there was only the Law, which no one could fulfill. But Jesus fulfilled the Law for us. Now we can be free from sin forever and evermore. Not only that, we can be indwelled by His own Spirit, who transforms us into the image of Christ. What a glorious Gift He gave by going to the cross. Have you thanked Him today for taking your sins and bestowing you with His Spirit?
