Psalm 139 has been my go-to passage for encouragement and comfort for decades. I’ve always loved it. It’s a prayer, offered by David, that speaks of God’s omniscience. He sees everything from my surface to deep inside, including my deepest fears, longings, joys, sorrows, insecurities, and frustrations. Others might think they know me, but His knowledge is limitless; thus He knows me more Intimately than anyone else. Nothing about me escapes the notice of my Father-God. He knows me…all my failures and flounders…and still He loves me. There is no one who will ever love me the way Yahweh, the Covenant God, does.
