Someone asked me, “Why are you gung-ho about OCC?” My answer: “Because OCC is gung-ho about sharing the Gospel.” In the book Heaven by Randy Alcorn, he writes, “The best of life on Earth is a glimpse of Heaven; the worst of life is a glimpse of Hell. For Christians, this present life is the closest they will come to Hell. For unbelievers, it is the closest they will come to Heaven.” When I watch the news, I can get pretty depressed about the state of the world in which we live. But this world is not my home! Because I have accepted Jesus as my Savior, I have no concerns about eternal condemnation. Heaven and all its glory awaits those who believe. I don’t have to worry about being good enough or smart enough or rich enough or anything-else enough. I’m redeemed by Jesus’s blood and God knows me as His child. Eternal security! Nothing of this world can take it away from me. Thank You, God, for Your promise of heaven with You, and let me bring as many with me as possible.

He is with me
