A lot of people call Christianity a religion, but it’s so much more than ritual or rote rules—it’s relationship. The moment we ask Jesus to forgive our sins and become our Savior, we are indwelled with God’s very presence, His Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is with us every minute of every day. He guides us, comforts us, counsels us, and strengthens us. We don’t need to fear the future or any conflict we might encounter because we face no situation on our own. This promise came from the LORD. LORD—all caps, meaning Yahweh, the covenant God. When He speaks, it is with power and promise. We can march boldly forward on the pathway He has crafted for us, knowing that our God is with us.
