Paul felt confident telling the Philippi believers to follow his example because Paul emulated the One who’d saved him, redeemed him, changed him from the inside out. Do you have a Christian mentor—someone whose example points to Him? I hope you do. We all need those Godly examples. And you know what else? We need to BE that Godly example. Especially in this noisy, self-centered, opinionated, very mixed up world. You might be the only billboard someone sees for Christianity. Self-examination is a good idea from time to time. Today, ask yourself: What am I teaching/bestowing/saying/showing? Am I pointing to Jesus in the way I live my life?
