Last week we looked at verses 1 and 2 of Psalm 91, which described the state of the godly individual. This week we’re looking at how God provides safety for His own.
He Himself will deliver us from forces of evil. God sees all and knows all. He’s never caught by surprise, the way we can be. When we abide in God’s shadow (remember: being there is dependent on our choice to stay close to Him), then we will not be infected by the plague of sin. The closer we are to Him, the less likely we are to dabble in ungodly pursuits, which result in regret and unpleasant consequences. The key to being safe from our foe is to reside with our Father.
