Choose wisely

Salvation is far from the wicked NOT because God is withholding it. Salvation is for every person who confesses, repents, and asks to be saved. But the truly wicked, who revel in the darkness, often refuse to confess and repent. There are some we wouldn’t necessarily consider wicked, but simply think they don’t need saving, so they don’t confess and repent. Both groups are lost…by their own choice. God did His part by sending Jesus; Jesus did His part by going to the cross. Now it’s our turn: seek Him or not; turn from sin or not. Whichever we choose, the choice impacts us for our lives on earth and for all eternity. David’s words to his son in 1 Chronicles 28:9 hold true for us today–“As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father, and serve Him with a whole heart and a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands the intention of every thought. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever.” Choose wisely.
