Paul wrote these words to the believers at Philippi. These were people who had ministered to him, prayed for him, supported him financially, and were his friends. Every Christian needs other Christians to come alongside him from time to time. Doesn’t it do your heart good when you know fellow Christians are praying for you? Doesn’t it brighten your day when someone brings a meal when you’re sick or sends a card of encouragement when you’re facing a life storm? Paul appreciated these gestures, and in appreciation, he thanked God for his fellow believers, mentioning them in his prayers whenever they came to mind. There is no greater gift we can give to our Christian brothers and sisters than to hold them up in prayer. Take some time today to think about those who’ve come alongside you in your Christian walk. Thank God for them, and ask Him to bless them. We all need to be remembered in someone’s prayers.
