When I think about the messages being presented in the world today about self-love, self-improvement, self-satisfaction, self-self-self…, it makes me sad. Because people are swallowing it hook, line, and sinker (as my mom would’ve said) and still feeling incomplete. NOTHING satisfies like a relationship with Jesus who IS the Word of Life. So how do I avoid being drawn in to these false beliefs? By studying His Word. By relying on the Holy Spirit’s guidance. By listening to my Father, who created me and knows me more intimately than I even know myself. Like the old hymn says, “I’d rather have Jesus than anything this world affords today.”
