If you’ve read the Bible passage, you know that Nicodemus was confused by Jesus’ statement, comparing it to physical birth from our mother’s womb. Being born again is a spiritual rebirth that occurs the moment we truly believe that Jesus is who He claims to be: the risen Son of God who died on the cross to redeem the world from its sins. It is an instantaneous, supernatural transformation in which we can finally SEE truth. In that moment, the one who was spiritually dead is brought to life! And not just temporary life, like our physical body experiences, but ETERNAL LIFE. Being born again puts us in relationship with God the Father for all eternity.
