Never stop hoping, trusting, or praying

I bet you know someone who once proclaimed faith but, for whatever reason, has stepped away from truly following Jesus. It hurts our hearts when it happens to someone we love, doesn’t it? We wonder, what can we do to draw them back? This entire week, James has addressed the answer to that question. First, continue to walk with integrity; set the example. Let them see Jesus’s impact on you. A person cannot refute your own personal testimony. Second, pray for them. Pray for God to show Himself so clearly that He cannot be denied. God pursues the lost. It’s His will that NONE should perish! So pray for Him to work His perfect will in your loved one’s life. Finally, I reiterate what my mother taught me: Never stop hoping; never stop trusting; never stop praying. Until you run out of breath, lift that precious lost soul to the throne of grace. Drawing him back will save him from death and rescue him from the regret of further sins.

Walk in integrity.
Fervently pray.
Always hold to hope.

Amen.
