Confronting someone about their sin will offend. Because nobody likes to be told they’re doing something wrong. But leaving someone in sin is the worst kind of offense. How can repentance come unless we’re confronted with our sin? How can freedom come unless we cast off our sin? Jesus loved enough to tell people they were going the wrong direction and point them to the Father. I need to love the way He did—with truth and compassion, pointing them to the One who saves.
